Bio Reggiani Open Cheese Factories 11-12 September 2021

The Open Cheese factories initiative organised by the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese consortium is back again this year. The Caseificio Bio Reggiani participates as always, opening its facilities to visitors.

The main objective of the initiative is to promote Parmigiano Reggiano as a food excellence, but not only. We want those who visit us to become totally immersed in our work, in the way we produce Parmigiano, treat animals and the land with care.

Thanks to this wonderful event, every year for years now, thousands of visitors from all over the world have been able to touch and see first-hand everything that goes into the production of a wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano: from the cowshed, to the machinery, to the large warehouses where the maturing process takes place.

Covid hasn’t stopped us this year either! In the sense that we will still be able to guarantee a regular flow, staggering the entrances and taking advantage of the ample spaces of our company to maintain the distances.

The route of the guided tour includes a mixed itinerary of both the outside and the inside of the dairy, so those wishing to take part in the full tour must be in possession of a Green Pass as per government regulation Covid-19. The green pass will be requested and checked on site.

So come and see us without any fear, your visit will take place in complete safety and NO booking will be needed 😉

THE 2021 OPEN DAIRY PROGRAMME AT BIO REGGIANI

As always, we have organised a full programme of events that will take place over the 2 days:

SATURDAY 11 AND SUNDAY 12 SEPTEMBER 2021
From 8.30 a.m. to 7 p.m:
– Shop opening
– Guided tours of the warehouse
– Guided tours of the dairy
– Guided tastings at 10.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. – 4.30 p.m.
– opening of a 70-month-old cheese at 10.30 a.m.

Guided tours: these are our speciality. You can touch our products, machinery, animals and get to know our team. We have nothing to hide, only to share!

Tasting and sampling: you will be able to taste our inimitable organic Parmigiano Reggiano in all its ages (from 12 months upwards). For the occasion, there will be the exceptional opening of the 70-month ripened wheel! We will give you the chance to try a taste that is more unique than rare.

Free gifts for all visitors: it is our tradition to leave a memory (not just an emotional one) with our visitors. During Caseifici Aperti we will present each of you with a personalised souvenir (as a surprise!).

In order to comply with the rules on social distancing and anti-tampering measures, the use of masks will be compulsory; in order to enter the cheese factory, it will be mandatory to be in possession of a Green Pass.

That said, all you have to do is reach us in Recovato di Castelfranco Emilia (Modena), at Via Francesco Baracca 6.

N.B. It will NOT be necessary to call to book your presence at the guided tours. We will, however, be able to guarantee compliance with safety regulations for Covid thanks to staggered entrances and sufficiently large spaces in our facility.
