We like to think of our dairy as an open-air museum housing an extraordinary work of art: Parmigiano Reggiano DOP. Guided tours of the BIO Reggiani cheese factory are one of the activities we hold most dear, because they demonstrate the transparency of our production and give us the opportunity to tell the story of the origin of a product that is the envy of the world. For us, it is a great responsibility, as well as an enormous pleasure, to accompany visitors on the discovery of our world and the secrets of the art of cheese-making. Guided tours and Caseifici Aperti

In addition to guided tours by appointment, every year we take part in the Festival of Caseifici Aperti (Open Cheese Factories), the initiative organised by the Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese Consortium to promote the culture of Parmigiano Reggiano and introduce visitors to the cheese factories, the people and the territory in which Italy’s best-loved PDO cheese is born. Every tour we organise in our dairy enriches us and fills us with satisfaction. From those who discover this world for the first time and learn to recognise the quality to bring to the table, to the loyal customers who show us affection and loyalty, every person who enters our dairy makes us proud of what we do and who we are. Our guided tours are always followed by a convivial moment in contact with nature, where you can taste our products with a picnic kit for a snack or breakfast.

Our guided tour

During the guided tour you can find out how all areas of our farm work. Start with a visit to the outside part dedicated to the stables, the nursery area of the calves and the boxes where we store the fodder. Once inside, you can visit the dairy production area, the brine area, the spectacular maturing room and finally our store.   Our visits end with a memorable experience: the tasting of our products! FAQ

Reservations must be made at least 3 working days in advance of the chosen date. For organisational reasons, the last visit in the morning is at 11 a.m. and the last visit in the afternoon is at 4.00 p.m. First of all, you will have to fill in the dedicated form in all its parts, then select the time and day chosen. Please indicate in the notes any lactose intolerance.

The visit is free of charge for accompanying group members and children under 10 years of age.

PUNCTUALITY IS RECOMMENDED. IN CASE OF DELAY, THE FEASIBILITY OF THE VISIT IS NOT GUARANTEED.

Reservations must be made at least 3 working days in advance of the chosen date. Visiting hours are agreed at the time of booking according to your preferences, the time of the last visit in the morning is 11.00 am and the last visit in the afternoon is 4.00 pm.

Should you wish to see the milk and cheese processing live, the perfect starting time for the visit is 8.00 am.

For groups of foreign visitors, we prefer to have an accompanying person who can translate the guided tour. Alternatively, if requested, we will provide an English-language interpreter.

Should any of the participants be lactose intolerant, you will have to inform us before your visit. In this way we will be able to offer products suitable for tasting, such as Parmigiano Reggiano aged over 30 months and lactose-free Pecorino marzolino.
